Internally Printed Two-Piece Display Gift Box

The 1200gsm greyboard in this two-piece box provides immense structural strength. We wrap the raw board in mint green art paper and stamp it with gold foil. But the real magic is the internal lining. We print a delicate botanical pattern on the inside paper. It replaces a plain white interior with a deeply considered unboxing reveal.

Internal Printing Completes the Experience

The structural core of this retail box is 1200gsm greyboard. It is about 2.5mm of dense, compressed recycled paper. You can feel the heavy, solid weight when you pick it up. For a boutique brand selling delicate silk scarves, fine ceramics, or high-quality lifestyle goods, that density matters. It transforms a simple purchase into an event. A standard folding carton bends when handled. This rigid box does not. We engineer this format as a full telescoping rigid box. The lid slides entirely over the base, doubling the thickness of the side walls to 5mm when closed. That friction fit creates a slight vacuum seal effect. As the customer lifts the lid, it releases slowly. To reward that deliberate opening sequence, we focus on the interior. Instead of leaving the inside lined with plain white paper, we print a subtle, earthy botanical pattern onto the lining paper before it is glued to the greyboard. That internal print forces a psychological shift. It tells the customer that the brand cares about the details they didn't have to design. The exterior relies on minimalist gold foil to command a high-quality price on the shelf, while the interior does the heavy lifting for the brand story. You need the packaging to protect the product while delivering a flawless, staged presentation. For this category, attention to detail is what separates good brands from great ones. Customers notice when a brand cares about the small things. The packaging isn't just a container; it is a promise of quality. When they hold it, they feel the weight of your commitment. That feeling is what turns a browser into a buyer.

Internal Printing Completes the Experience

upscale Retail and Heritage Brands

Boutique founders spend months curating a specific look. They select high-quality fabrics, balance soft color palettes, and build a narrative around 'simple elegance.' Then they package those high-quality items in a cheap, unbranded box or a rigid box with a stark, industrial white interior. The box reaches the customer's hands first. If the packaging feels incomplete, the product inside feels incomplete too. This happens before the lid is ever lifted. Independent upscale lines face a highly demanding customer base. You have to prove your value from the outside in. A custom internally printed rigid box meets that expectation perfectly. The pale mint green art paper is finished with a soft-touch matte laminate, making it feel velvety and expensive. The raw greyboard edges are completely hidden -- the outer paper wraps over the lip and meets the printed internal liner in a unified manner. Every dimension is yours to control. We size the base tray to perfectly accommodate your specific retail goods. You won't have items swimming in empty space. We can even engineer custom tissue paper or internal dividers to match the botanical print. When you respect the entire unboxing ritual, the customer trusts your brand for their high-quality gifting needs. For this category, attention to detail is what separates good brands from great ones. Customers notice when a brand cares about the small things. The packaging isn't just a container; it is a promise of quality. When they hold it, they feel the weight of your commitment. That feeling is what turns a browser into a buyer. And a buyer into a loyal fan.

Our minimum for fully wrapped rigid boxes with custom internal printing is 250 units. Because these boxes require heavy greyboard cutting, printing on two separate layers of paper (exterior wrap and interior liner), and precise manual gluing, the setup process is more involved. This remains one of the lowest MOQ requirements in the upscale packaging industry.
Full telescoping means the lid of the box slides all the way down to cover the entire depth of the base. When closed, you only see the lid from the outside. This doubles the thickness of the side walls (combining the lid and base), providing maximum crush resistance. It is the gold standard for upscale gift boxes.
There is a slight high-quality for internal printing because we have to run a second sheet of paper (the liner) through the printing press before gluing it to the inside of the greyboard. However, the dramatic increase in brand appeal and unboxing aesthetics usually far outweighs the small per-unit cost increase.
Traditional rigid boxes (like the one shown here) cannot be folded flat. They are shipped to you fully assembled, with the lid placed over the base. Because they take up more volume during shipping, we work with you to improve the box dimensions to reduce freight costs as much as possible.
The rigid box process takes slightly longer due to the wrapping, lining, and glue-curing time. The sampling stage takes 7-10 business days. Once you approve the physical prototype, full production takes 15-20 business days. We suggest factoring this into your retail launch timeline early. For this category, attention to detail is what separates good brands from great ones. Customers notice when a brand cares about the small things. The packaging isn't just a container; it is a promise of quality.
